Vaccine coupled with a stylish flowered mask …I have a spring in my step!

I have struggled recently “to find my stride.” I haven’t been able to “take things in stride” as of late either. I have been “running on empty” so to speak. Today and as recent as this morning I got my stride back a bit. I had a great early morning run, feeling stronger with each footfall as the day seemed to offer something special.

A run in the high 20’s with the promise of the mercury rising to the upper 50’s is a day for iced coffee and thoughts of maple Creemees in Vermont. What is it about New Englander’s embracing temps that would be considered cool by many standards but warm in the north? I imagine there will be those that run in shorts later today on local college campuses…

New Englander’s can go through all four seasons in one day so believing that the season of new beginnings has truly arrived is met with skepticism. The clocks will spring ahead this weekend. Daylight will be extended. Temps will ultimately warm somewhere about the month of June, but change is coming. Spring is in our hearts…

More than the hope of new blooms is in the air. The crocuses and daffodils are wanting to make their presence known from under the remaining feet of melting snow. A magical shift in seasons is upon us. New beginnings. Spring. An optimistic time is on the horizon as we begin to come out of our hibernation knowing the renewal of spring is just a vaccination away…

“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” — Rachel Carson
